Thing #5

As I was playing around on Flickr, I found it very useful for Science lessons. Using these pictures can help students see pictures that are more up to date, since the textbooks are older. Using visuals help my students to fully understand a concept. We just finished discussing the moon and I found a picture of an eclipse.

Thing #3

Creating my blog was easier than I thought it would be in the beginning. Once I got started, I found it simple to get started. When I started creating my avatar, I enjoyed finding what I wanted to look like. I also found it fun searching for clothes. Even though I had my doubts, I found it quick and easy. I spent most of my time doing fun stuff, where I thought I would be stressed on how to insert and create.

Thing #2

As I reflected on the 7 1/2 Habits, I found that using my learning toolbox was easy for me. There are many times that I will use all resources available to be able to teach my students what they need to know. I also use the technology to help them understand a concept when needed. Playing is always fun. I play the Wii and enjoy dancing and singing in my car and with friends. There is nothing better than playing games with friends and family.
The hardest for me was view problems as challenges. My husband tells me that I tend to overreact to things at times. I should take the time to think about how it is going to teach me and prepare me for later in life.
I will continue to be a learner. I tell my students know that I am still learning. I enjoy taking professional development classes to better prepare me for lessons. I also find it interesting to learn new ways of teaching the same concepts. There are so many new and different things that come out that teachers have to be willing to learn!
